Dialog PTT works on any Android PoC radio — dedicated hardware with a physical PTT button, loud speaker, and long-battery life form factor. From Hytera to Inrico, Telox, Estalky, Motorola and beyond, if it runs Android it runs Dialog PTT.
Android PoC (Push-to-Call) radios look like traditional two-way radios but run a full Android OS over LTE/Wi-Fi instead of RF. They have a large external speaker, a dedicated side PTT button, extended battery life, and a rugged form factor — everything a field team needs. Dialog PTT is designed to run as the native PoC application on these devices.
Physical side-key PTT mapped directly to Dialog PTT. No touchscreen required — instant floor request in gloves, rain, or vibration.
1–3 W speaker loud enough to hear in a plant, warehouse, or vehicle cab. Audio routed to the speaker even when recording is active.
Typically 3,000–5,000 mAh cells. 12–18 hour shift life with continuous PTT standby. IP67 rated on most models.
Primary SIM-based LTE data, automatic failover to Wi-Fi. Range is unlimited — continent-wide networks, same instant PTT.
Hardware GPS receiver sends live position to the Dialog dispatcher map. No separate tracker required.
Runs standard Android (7–13 depending on model), so Dialog PTT installs as a normal APK with no special firmware needed for most brands.
Hytera PoC radios have a custom Dream OS firmware layer that goes beyond standard Android. Dialog PTT has the deepest integration available — including firmware-level mic routing, ROM lone-worker and man-down services, hardware PTT via the Dream SDK key manager, and GPS unlock via firmware parameters.

Inrico PoC radios use MediaTek SoCs and standard Android. Dialog PTT installs as a regular APK with no package-name restriction. Both models have a hardware PTT side key (keycode 233 via MediaTek kpd driver) which Dialog maps automatically.

The Telox TE580 is a compact rugged PoC radio running Android 5.1 (API 22) on MediaTek MT6735. Dialog PTT ships with core-library desugaring and a minimum SDK of 21, so it installs cleanly. The hardware PTT button (Linux keycode 250 → Android keycode 233) is handled by the same MediaTek PTT mapping used for Inrico devices.

Estalky Q977 is a wide-screen Android PoC radio with a large display suitable for teams that need to see the dispatcher map or incident feed directly on the device. Runs standard Android with no firmware ROM restrictions.

Motorola LEX handhelds are purpose-built mission-critical Android devices targeting public safety and enterprise. They run standard Android without ROM audio restrictions, so Dialog PTT installs and operates without any package-name workarounds.

Dedicated PoC hardware is optional. Dialog PTT runs on any Android smartphone (Android 8+) or iPhone (iOS 15+). Teams can mix dedicated PoC radios with standard smartphones in the same talkgroup — all receive the same AES-256-GCM encrypted audio in real time.
Full encrypted transport support. PTT via on-screen button. AES-256-GCM E2EE. GPS tracking. Lone worker check-in.
Rugged Android smartphones (BV9800, BV6600 etc.) — IP68 rated, ARM64, full Dialog PTT feature support.
Ultra-rugged Android with hardware PTT button (USB PTT on some models). Confirmed compatible with Dialog PTT.
Native iOS app available on the App Store. Fast encrypted transport, AES-256-GCM E2EE, GPS, and lone-worker check-ins — same feature set as Android.
If it runs Android 8+ and has a SIM card, Dialog PTT will install and connect. Hardware PTT key mapping handled automatically for common MediaTek and Qualcomm keycodes.
The Windows DialogDispatcher console connects managers and operators who need the live map, incident management, and PTT-from-desk — not a radio but part of every deployment.
All devices below have been tested by the Dialog PTT engineering team with a live server deployment. Where a dedicated APK is noted, the standard APK installs but a firmware-specific build is required for mic access.
